DR ‹ › The United States has supported the launch of the Digital Innovation Academy, a nationwide initiative led by eSTEM Morocco, the U.S. Embassy in Rabat announced Wednesday in a press release. Officially launched on February 14 in Rabat, the year-long pilot program aims to train 100 young adults in artificial intelligence and entrepreneurial innovation across four regions of Morocco. The project was proposed by three Moroccan alumni of U.S. exchange programs and funded through the U.S. Department of State's 2025 Alumni Engagement Innovation Fund (AEIF), a program that empowers exchange alumni worldwide to lead innovative, community-focused initiatives. «Our collaboration with the Digital Innovation Academy is reflective of our long-standing and broad relationship with Morocco, especially as we celebrate the 250th anniversary of U.S. independence and Morocco's historic role as our oldest friend», said Muhammad Shahbaz, Cultural Affairs Attaché at the U.S. Embassy. The launch event, held at the National Higher School of Arts and Crafts of Rabat (ENSAM), marked the start of a collaborative effort bringing together academic institutions, international partners, experts, and young talents around digital innovation. According to the press release, the initiative reflects a shared commitment to education, responsible innovation, cybersecurity, and trusted technology in support of Morocco's human capital development and digital transformation. The Digital Innovation Academy will be implemented in partnership with five Moroccan NGOs.
