According to the authorities, the case concerned the voluntary departure of the two siblings, a boy and a girl, from their family home. They were later located in a public park in the city of Berrechid. Police said that the judicial investigation conducted at the time confirmed that the minors had not been subjected to any assault, and that their departure from the house was not linked to any criminal act or suspicious circumstances. The Casablanca Police Department stated that this clarification was issued to prevent the spread of misleading information online, which could create a false sense of insecurity due to inaccurate content circulating on social media platforms.
