DR ‹ › To mark its 15th anniversary, the Tariq Ibnou Ziyad Initiative network (TIZI Morocco) has joined forces with the Moroccan Leadership Institute (MLI) to launch the national project AMAL 2026, supported by the Heinrich Böll Foundation (HBS). The initiative aims to prepare 100 young Moroccans, all under the age of 35, for the legislative elections scheduled for September 23. The program will take the form of a traveling caravan, stopping in five cities between May and August. Participants will receive hands-on training in electoral candidacy, leadership, and public speaking. The selection process is designed to ensure a balanced and diverse group: at least one-third will be women, one-third will be young members of political parties, and one-third will be independent candidates. The organizers stress the initiative's non-partisan nature. The training combines legislative knowledge, mobilization strategies, and tools for creating public value. For TIZI, MLI, and HBS, the project represents a step toward professionalizing youth engagement in politics and strengthening civic participation in Morocco. For more than 15 years, TIZI has worked to promote leadership and participatory democracy. MLI focuses on developing the skills of actors in both the public and private sectors while training future leaders. HBS, a German foundation affiliated with the Green Party, is known worldwide for promoting civic education and democratic values.
