DR ‹ › Choufli.ma has emerged as Morocco's first data intelligence platform for car valuation, leveraging artificial intelligence and a comprehensive national market database. Developed by tech firm GENDEV, the platform aims to «fill the void left by Argus's exit from Morocco in 2019,» according to a press release. It provides a reliable benchmark for the country's «700,000 annual vehicle transactions.» The creators note that «the national used car market is among the most dynamic in Africa, yet it faces significant information asymmetry.» The statement adds that «95% of sales take place privately, without any reliable price reference.» Choufli.ma was founded by Idriss Chefchaouni, who drew on his «initial startup experience abroad» to build the platform. «As a car enthusiast, I was immediately struck by how buying or selling a used car felt like an uphill battle,» he said. Seeking to bridge the gap between existing tools and local market needs, Choufli.ma aims to turn «raw data into precise, actionable market values.» With this vision, the 28-year-old entrepreneur hopes to «tackle the sector's challenges one by one through technology and innovative services.»
