DR ‹ › Canada-based aircraft engine manufacturer Pratt & Whitney Canada inaugurated, on Tuesday, a new manufacturing facility in Nouaceur's Midparc Industrial Zone, strengthening its industrial footprint in Morocco. The site, which spans 130,000 square feet, is expected to create around 200 jobs by 2030 and boost production capacity to meet growing global demand for aircraft engines, the company said in a press release. The facility will produce detailed static and structural machined parts for Pratt & Whitney Canada's engines, including components for the PT6 engine family. «This site is a strategic extension of our global production network and reflects our commitment to building resilient supply chains», said Maria Della Posta, president of Pratt & Whitney Canada, highlighting the company's investment in local talent and Morocco's aerospace ecosystem. Launched in 2024, the project progressed rapidly to operational readiness, including workforce recruitment, technical training, and the installation of advanced machining equipment. The plant is designed according to lean manufacturing principles and integrates digital systems to enhance quality, efficiency, and operational performance. Pratt & Whitney operates under RTX, which already has a presence in Morocco through Collins Aerospace, active in cockpit solutions and flight controls since 2012. Together, RTX employs around 250 people in the kingdom. A global leader in aircraft engines and auxiliary power units, Pratt & Whitney supports more than 90,000 engines worldwide. Its parent company, RTX, headquartered in Arlington, Virginia, employs more than 180,000 people globally and reported over $88 billion in revenue in 2025.
