The Director General of National Security and Territorial Surveillance, Abdellatif Hammouchi, met, Tuesday in Rabat, with the Commissioner General of Information of the Spanish Kingdom, Eugenio Pereiro Blanco. Blanco is currently on a working visit to Morocco, accompanied by a high-level security delegation. A statement from the General Directorate of National Territorial Surveillance stated that this meeting was part of ongoing bilateral meetings between officials of the security and intelligence services in Morocco and its neighbor, Spain. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss ways and mechanisms for developing further joint cooperation in various security fields. The statement added that the meeting provided an opportunity to evaluate the outcomes and level of the already distinguished security cooperation between the two countries. It also aimed to review topics of common interest, monitor and anticipate emerging risks and challenges, and discuss ways to confront them with a united front. The communication concluded by emphasizing the great importance and advanced level of bilateral cooperation between the security services in Morocco and Spain. This cooperation, it affirmed, stems from the depth of the strategic partnership that unites the two countries.
