Under the instructions of King Mohammed VI, the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity is launching the Marhaba operation on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, to welcome Moroccans residing abroad. The Foundation, which is collaborating with all national stakeholders, has activated the comprehensive reception system simultaneously in Morocco, France, Spain, and Italy, according to a statement. Under the effective presidency of the sovereign, this twenty-fifth edition is marked by the establishment of new national spaces at the airports of Laâyoune and Dakhla, bringing the total number of Marhaba reception sites to twenty-six (26). Twenty (20) spaces are operational in Morocco. They are located in the ports of Tanger Med, Tanger Ville, Al Hoceïma, and Nador Bni Nsar; in the airports of Casablanca Mohammed V, Rabat-Salé, Oujda Angad, Nador, Agadir Al Massira, Fès Saïss, Marrakech Menara, Tanger Ibn Battouta, Laâyoune Hassan 1er, and Dakhla; in the rest areas of Méditerranée, Jebha, Tazaghine, and Smir M'Diq; as well as at the border posts of Bab Sebta and Mellila. Abroad, six (6) Marhaba spaces are located at European ports in Genoa (Italy), Sète and Marseille (France), and Motril, Almería, and Algeciras (Spain). Social assistance and medical care services, available to Moroccans residing abroad from June 10 to September 15, are deployed across all these sites to best support them during the arrival and return phases. A workforce of over 1,200 people, including the Foundation's teams, social workers, doctors, paramedics, and volunteers, is mobilized to listen to Moroccans residing abroad, assist them, and provide the necessary help and relief. The humanitarian services available at the Marhaba reception sites are complemented by the Central Coordination Office (BCC) based in Rabat. Supervised by the Foundation, it monitors the activity of the assistance teams deployed in the field, mobilizes stakeholders for managing requests, and ensures the Marhaba telephone assistance.
