Mohammed VI Polytechnic University and Tanger Med Group signed a new collaboration agreement on July 29, 2025, in Martil, expanding their partnership that began in 2021 with the creation of the 1337 MED campus. The agreement establishes the AI Tanger Med Program, which engages campus students under supervision of UM6P's AI Lab to develop solutions for challenges faced by companies within the Tanger Med ecosystem. Projects focus on real use cases requiring artificial intelligence, automation, data analysis, and cybersecurity applications for port, logistics, and industrial operations. The program serves dual objectives. Tanger Med coordinates with partners to identify operational problems requiring co-developed solutions adapted to business needs. Students gain structured experience through direct contact with operational constraints, connecting their technical skills to industrial realities. UM6P aims to link theory and practice by training profiles capable of understanding technical challenges and responding with contextual approaches. The collaboration also develops targeted expertise in key port and industrial sectors through partnerships with structuring actors. The 1337 MED campus, established through this collaboration in 2021, currently hosts nearly 400 students. The institution operates without traditional lectures or professors, using project-based learning, collaboration, and autonomous problem-solving methods.
