Officers from the National Security and Customs services at the Bab Sebta border post arrested a 44-year-old woman on the evening of Tuesday, July 29, on suspicion of involvement in an international cocaine trafficking operation. According to a security source, the suspect was taken into custody immediately upon arriving at the Bab Sebta crossing, where she was driving a vehicle with foreign registration. A search of the vehicle uncovered 4.77 kilograms of cocaine. The woman is currently under judicial investigation, under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor's office. Authorities are working to determine any potential links to broader criminal networks and to fully establish the scope of her alleged activities. This arrest forms part of Morocco's ongoing efforts to intensify the fight against international drug trafficking and the smuggling of psychotropic substances.
