The Spanish National Police have arrested a Moroccan man suspected of participating in a violent gang rape of an 18-year-old woman in the city center of Ferrol, in Galicia. According to initial reports, the suspect approached the victim in the early hours of Wednesday morning at Plaza de España, attempting to gain her trust. He was later joined by three other men. Together, they surrounded the young woman and dragged her to the entrance of a nearby building, where they brutally sexually assaulted her, using extreme violence and a bladed weapon to threaten her. In her testimony, the victim stated that she was severely beaten and repeatedly raped. She reported being threatened with a machete, which ultimately caused her to lose consciousness. She was rushed to the University Hospital of Ferrol, arriving in a state of shock, bleeding, and with serious physical injuries consistent with a violent sexual assault. Security sources confirmed that the arrested suspect was the one who first approached the victim and is believed to be the ringleader of the group. Further investigation revealed that he has a criminal record and is currently under an expulsion order from Spanish territory. Authorities are still searching for the other three individuals involved. The public prosecutor's office has classified the case as a serious offense against sexual freedom.
