On Thursday morning, the decomposed body of a Belgian national was found in his home in the Portuguese district of El Jadida, following a four-day absence that had raised concerns among neighbors. According to Assabah, citing local sources, several residents noticed a foul odor coming from the house and alerted the local authorities. National security and civil protection services responded, and with the support of technical and forensic police, they entered the home through a neighboring residence, where they discovered the man's body. Preliminary findings indicate that the deceased, who was in his sixties, had recently returned from France, where he had undergone surgery for a chronic illness, according to neighbors questioned by the judicial police. The body was transferred to the morgue at Mohammed V Regional Hospital following orders from the public prosecutor's office, which requested a medical autopsy to determine the cause of death.
