Belgian-Moroccan footballer Ismaël Baouf has signed with Dutch club SC Cambuur. The 18-year-old central defender joins from RSC Anderlecht on a three-year contract, with an option for an additional season, the club announced Tuesday on its website. The club's technical manager describes him as «an aggressive defender who also enjoys possession». In Belgium's Challenger Pro League, he has made 49 appearances, scoring three goals and providing one assist. The son of former footballer Rachid Baouf, he chose in 2024 to represent Morocco at the international level. In May, representing Morocco's U-20 team, Baouf reached the final of the Africa Cup of Nations U-20 last May.
