The Public Prosecutor at the Casablanca Court of Appeal has released a statement to address the ongoing discussions surrounding the case of Sion Assidon, confirming that investigations are still in progress. According to the statement, on August 11, 2025, two individuals reported to the police that their employer had been missing from work and they were unable to reach him. When they visited his home, they found his car parked outside. The judicial police arrived at the scene and discovered the door locked. With the assistance of a specialist, they gained entry and found Assidon unconscious on a sofa on the ground floor. He was alive and was promptly taken to the hospital. In the residence's garden, various tools were found, including a ladder, a saw, a pickaxe, and scissors, alongside evidence of recent gardening work such as cut grass and pruned trees. Inside the house, personal belongings like a phone, two computers, keys, and shoes with grass stains were discovered, along with books and other items neatly arranged, showing no signs of forced entry or disturbance. The statement highlighted that surveillance footage from a camera installed at the end of the alley captured Assidon arriving alone on August 9, 2025, at 10:36 AM. He parked his car in front of his house and entered wearing the same clothes he was later found in. The car remained there until police intervention on August 11. Investigators collected samples and biological traces from the tools and the residence, with results revealing only Assidon's fingerprints. The police also interviewed a construction worker from a neighboring property, who confirmed seeing Assidon on Saturday, August 9, pruning trees until around 5 PM. The neighbor, who had requested Assidon's help with the task, corroborated this account. The statement concluded by stressing that the investigation remains active, and appropriate legal actions will be taken once it is concluded.
