On Tuesday, human remains believed to belong to a minor were discovered at a hotel in Palmeraie, a palm oasis of several hundred thousand trees outside of Marrakech. According to local sources, the remains were uncovered during maintenance work on the hotel's sewage system. Workers made the discovery while excavating and promptly alerted the authorities, who quickly arrived on the scene. At the request of the public prosecutor, an investigation has been opened to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. The remains have been transferred to a forensic laboratory for further analysis and medical examination.
