On Tuesday, September 9, officers from the Marrakech provincial police department arrested four individuals aged between 29 and 59, including a private-sector general practitioner, his assistant, and two intermediaries. They are suspected of issuing fake medical certificates in exchange for financial compensation. According to preliminary findings, security services received information that two intermediaries were offering medical certificates to individuals seeking to complete administrative procedures without undergoing the required medical examinations. The suspects were caught red-handed in possession of certificates bearing the seal of a local general practitioner. As the investigation unfolded, the doctor was arrested at his clinic, along with his assistant, on suspicion of involvement in the scheme. The four detainees have been placed in custody under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor's office, pending further inquiries to establish the full circumstances of the case.
