On Sunday, August 31, police in Berkane arrested three brothers suspected of involvement in a fatal assault, in coordination with the border police at the Beni Ansar port and the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance. According to preliminary findings, the suspects allegedly rammed the victim with a car before stabbing him with a knife, causing severe injuries that led to his death after being transported to the hospital. The investigation quickly led to the identification of the suspects. Two were arrested in Berkane, while the third was apprehended as he attempted to leave the country by sea for Europe. The three detainees have been placed in custody pending a judicial investigation, conducted under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor's office, to determine the full circumstances of the crime and uncover its true motives.
