The Moroccan Association for Human Rights (AMDH) announced that it will file an official complaint, Thursday, with the Public Prosecutor's Office in Rabat, demanding an urgent investigation into the suspected use of Moroccan ports to transport military equipment used in the ongoing war against the Gaza Strip. According to the association, the complaint is based on reliable data previously collected, pointing to links between ships passing through Moroccan waters and ports and logistical operations involving the transport of weapons and ammunition intended to target Palestinian civilians. AMDH argued that such actions fall within the scope of war crimes and crimes against humanity. In its statement, the association said it is placing the matter in the hands of the judiciary, stressing Morocco's responsibility, as a state and through its institutions, to uphold its international commitments regarding human rights and international humanitarian law. It also called on the authorities to take all necessary legal measures to verify these suspicions and hold accountable those found responsible. The association reaffirmed its unwavering solidarity with the Palestinian people in their struggle for freedom and dignity, and urged active forces in Morocco to continue mobilizing and applying pressure to stop what it described as «genocidal crimes» committed by Israel.
