Several ultras groups in Morocco have announced a boycott of their teams' matches in the national professional league, in solidarity with the «Generation Z» protests taking place across multiple cities. The «Rosso Verde» association, which supports the Moroccan national team, said it would not attend the upcoming matches of the Atlas Lions against Bahrain and Congo, stressing that «its role is not limited to cheering in the stands but also includes expressing its connection to the nation's and society's issues». The group added that the difficulties of the current period had led it to «temporarily halt attendance», while underlining the need to support the peaceful and legitimate demands of Moroccan youth, particularly for education and health. «Orange Boys' 07» supporting Renaissance Berkane, announced a boycott of Tuesday's match against US Yacoub El Mansour, in Rabat, denouncing «all forms of repression and abuse faced by free voices, those who have chosen, with complete peacefulness and patriotism, to demand freedom, dignity, and social justice». The «Shark» ultra, supporting Olympic Safi, also said it would boycott Tuesday's game against Hassania Agadir, declaring: «We are sons of this nation, emerging from the popular class, the first to demand dignity and freedom, the first to speak out for legitimate rights in health, education, and decent living on many occasions in the past. We are also the first to be affected by systemic imbalances and failures, and today we stand with those detained, as we have many times before, in the struggle for our freedom». Meanwhile, the «Hercules» faction, supporting Ittihad Tanger, announced its boycott of Tuesday's match against the Royal Army team, likewise in solidarity with the protests taking place across the country.
