Twenty students were injured, some sustaining fractures, after a school transport bus overturned today, Thursday, in the rural community of Zoumi, within the Ouezzane province. The bus was carrying 25 students at the time of the incident. Khadija Ben Abdessalam, the regional director of the Ministry of National Education in Ouezzane, informed SNRT news that the injured students were taken to Abu Al-Qasim Al-Zahrawi Hospital for necessary medical care. She assured that most students are in stable condition, with injuries ranging from cuts and fractures to panic attacks. The bus driver also suffered fractures of varying degrees. According to the driver's account, the accident occurred as he tried to avoid a bicycle after the students had left school following their afternoon classes, resulting in him losing control of the vehicle, which subsequently overturned.
