Transavia has nearly doubled its flights to Morocco in just two years, now operating 55 weekly connections from the Netherlands and Belgium, the airline announced Thursday. The expansion includes a new direct route to Rabat, launched today, November 13. The KLM subsidiary now flies to nine Moroccan destinations, Al Hoceima, Agadir, Casablanca, Fez, Marrakech, Nador, Oujda, Tangier, and Rabat, reflecting Morocco's growing popularity among both tourists and passengers visiting friends and relatives. A Transavia spokesperson said the growth was driven by «higher passenger demand, new destinations, and closer cooperation with the Moroccan National Tourism Office (ONMT) to promote the country and its diverse attractions».
