Minister Delegate to the Head of Government in charge of the National Defense Administration announced that Morocco is currently hosting ten defense industry projects initiated by international companies. These projects represent a total investment of $260 million (2.41 billion Moroccan dirhams) and are expected to create 2,500 jobs, said Abdellatif Loudiyi during the budget review of his department before the Finance Committee in the House of Representatives. He also revealed that five additional projects are either under review or in the final stages of completion, according to information shared by the Forum FAR Maroc account. Morocco has entered into partnerships with several major international groups to establish industrial units in the country. These include: Baykar (Turkey) for drone manufacturing, Lockheed Martin (United States) for the maintenance and modernization of the Royal Armed Forces' F-16 and C-130 Hercules aircraft, BlueBird (Israel) for drone production and TATA (India) for the assembly of armored vehicles. In his remarks, the minister noted that the National Defense Administration's 2026 budget has increased by approximately 3.3 billion dirhams, representing a 4.8% rise compared to the previous year. However, he clarified that the share of the military budget within the 2026 Finance Bill has decreased, dropping from 4.5% in 2025 to 4% in 2026.
