On Sunday, the bodies of a couple and their five-year-old child were found inside their home in Had Soualem, in what initial reports suggest may be a butane gas leak incident. According to several sources, the family's sudden absence and unusual odors coming from the house raised neighbors' suspicions, prompting one of them to alert the authorities. Local officials, along with civil protection units and the Royal Gendarmerie, quickly arrived at the scene and entered the home, where they discovered the victims in one of the rooms. Preliminary information indicates that the family, a 40-year-old father, a 30-year-old mother, and their five-year-old child, were using a gas cylinder inside the room to heat water, raising the likelihood of death by asphyxiation pending the results of the investigation. The bodies were transferred to the morgue at Hassan II Regional Hospital in Settat. Meanwhile, the Royal Gendarmerie in Had Soualem has opened an investigation, under the supervision of the public prosecutor in Settat, to determine the circumstances and details surrounding the tragedy.
