The death toll from Saturday's traffic accident in Fnideq has risen to six, according to local authorities in the M'diq–Fnideq prefecture. Civil protection teams recovered two additional bodies from the site on Saturday evening, bringing the total number of confirmed fatalities to six. Earlier in the day, authorities had announced that four people were killed and eight others injured, with varying degrees of severity, after a truck loaded with construction materials lost control and crashed into two buildings. One of the buildings housed a café and residential apartments, while the other contained commercial shops and an unclassified hotel. Local and security authorities, along with civil protection units, intervened immediately. They extinguished a fire caused by the violent crash and transferred the injured to the emergency department at Hassan II Hospital in Fnideq for treatment. The collision caused extensive material damage to both buildings, and seven cars parked along the roadside were also damaged.
