DR ‹ › U.S. Ambassador to Morocco Duke Buchan has met with Morocco's Minister of Industry and Trade, Ryad Mezzour. During their meeting, the two officials discussed «partnerships to deepen economic cooperation», the American diplomat wrote on Monday on X. «Building on 250 years of friendship, Morocco offers boundless opportunities for U.S. firms looking to invest and ensure that Morocco and the United States share in a more prosperous future», he added. In December 2025, Buchan presented copies of his credentials to Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita. He was nominated by President Donald Trump and confirmed by the Senate in October, 2025. Born in North Carolina in 1963, Duke Buchan III previously served as U.S. Ambassador to Spain and Andorra (2017–2021) and has had a long career in the investment and finance sectors.
