DR ‹ › A 4.9-magnitude earthquake was recorded on Tuesday, March 17, at around 11:24 p.m. in the Alboran Sea, near the Strait of Gibraltar. According to a bulletin from Morocco's National Institute of Geophysics, the quake occurred at a latitude of 36.050°N and a longitude of 4.669°W, at a depth of 55 km. The tremor was felt across several regions in both Morocco and Spain. Online reports indicate it was experienced in cities ranging from Tangier to Casablanca, including Tetouan, M'diq, Fnideq, Larache, Ksar El Kebir, Ouazzane, Kenitra, and Rabat. On the other side of the Mediterranean, the quake was also felt in several cities across Andalusia. No casualties or material damage have been reported.
