DR ‹ › Youth and intergenerational transmission were at the heart of a gathering dedicated to the Moroccan community in Germany, held on Sunday in Frankfurt. The event was organized by the Amana associations of Frankfurt and Wuppertal, which are active in integration, education, and social initiatives. Held under the theme «The Diaspora: A Bridge between Germany and Morocco», the event brought together more than 200 participants from across the country. It aimed to highlight the contributions of the Moroccan diaspora and strengthen its role in fostering closer cultural, social, and economic ties between the two nations. The meeting was attended by Morocco's Consul General in Frankfurt, Khalifa Ait Chaib, alongside representatives of Moroccan institutions, including the Department of Moroccans Living Abroad within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Living Abroad, as well as the Council of the Moroccan Community Abroad (CCME). On this occasion, Ait Chaib underscored Morocco's long-standing history rooted in values of tolerance, openness, and coexistence. He also highlighted the strong sense of belonging shared by Moroccans worldwide and their enduring attachment to traditions passed down through generations. The Consul General paid tribute to association leaders and community actors for their continued efforts in supporting and promoting the Moroccan community, despite the challenges inherent to associative work. Such gatherings help provide a clearer understanding of the realities faced by the diaspora, noted Jaouad Achakouri, a project officer at the CCME. According to him, effective public policy depends on a thorough understanding of the social and cultural transformations affecting Moroccans abroad. The event was organized in coordination with the Hassan II Foundation for Moroccans Living Abroad, the CCME, and the Department of Moroccans Living Abroad.
