Abdessamad Kayouh, Minister of Transport and Logistics ‹ › Strengthening cooperation between Morocco and Turkey in civil aviation was at the center of talks between Minister of Transport and Logistics Abdessamad Kayouh and the Turkish Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, on the sidelines of the Global Symposium on Implementation Support (GISS 2026), held from April 14 to 16 in Marrakech. During the meeting, both officials highlighted the strategic geographic position of their countries and the importance of expanding air connectivity. They stressed the need to increase flight frequencies and further develop links to keep pace with growing economic and tourism exchanges. Discussions also addressed the implementation of an agreement on support for deploying tachographs in road transport, along with related monitoring and control mechanisms. The two sides further reviewed the modalities for implementing existing bilateral agreements, emphasizing the need for effective and operational follow-up. On this occasion, both parties reaffirmed their willingness to share expertise and experience in civil aviation, supporting joint efforts to strengthen capacities and deepen bilateral cooperation. The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to further consolidate ties and elevate air connectivity between Morocco and Turkey in line with their strategic ambitions.
