Ten new people have recovered from the new coronavirus, while 68 new confirmed cases have been registered in Morocco since yesterday. During a press briefing in Rabat, Mohamed Lyoubi, chief of the Epidemiology and Disease Control Division at the Health Ministry said that 2,298 suspected cases have tested negative for the virus. 176 Covid-19 cases are located in the Casablanca-Settat region, 105 in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, 105 in Fès-Meknès, 107 in Marrakech-Safi, and 39 are in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima. The rest is distributed among the other regions of the Kingdom with the exception of Dakhla-Oued Dahab and Laayoune-Sakia Al Hamra. Mohamed Lyoubi said that 55% of the people who tested positive for the virus were men while 45% were women, noting that the average age is 54 years. He reported that the youngest Covid-19 patient in Morocco is a two-month old baby while the oldest is a 96 years-old person. Regarding the health status of those infected, the numbers have not changed either: «85% of cases are mild while 15% are severe or critical», Lyoubi said.
