The Confederation of African Football (CAF) unveiled on Wednesday the new trophy and logo for the U-17 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), set to take place from March 30 to April 19 in Morocco. This launch marks a key milestone in celebrating the journey of young African football talents participating in this prestigious tournament, CAF stated in a press release on its website. The new trophy, themed «Journey Begins», embodies ambition, growth, and the first steps toward a legendary future for these players, CAF explained. It features a road-shaped structure symbolizing the players' path, integrated with a map of Africa—highlighting the continent's pride and unity. The tournament's new logo mirrors the shape of the AFCON U-17 trophy, including its base, which represents structure, guidance, and support provided by CAF in nurturing the next generation of African football stars. «A path shaped by passion, with a new identity and renewed energy», the African football body concluded. AFCON U-17 Morocco 2025 will also serve as a qualifying tournament for the FIFA U-17 World Cup. Africa will be represented by ten teams at this newly expanded edition, set to take place in Qatar later this year.
