Morocco's national carrier, Royal Air Maroc, will launch a new direct flight linking Casablanca to Catania (Sicily) starting June 28, 2025. The new route will operate twice a week, on Mondays and Saturdays, using Boeing 737 aircraft. Departures from Casablanca are scheduled for 3:20 p.m. (local time), arriving in Catania at 7:40 p.m. (local time). Return flights will leave Catania at 8:40 p.m. and land in Casablanca at 11:35 p.m., according to a press release issued by Royal Air Maroc on Monday. With this new connection, Royal Air Maroc expands its network in Italy to seven cities served from Casablanca, alongside Milan, Rome, Bologna, Turin, Venice, and Naples. «This new service meets the expectations of our compatriots living in Sicily and offers new opportunities for African and Italian travelers. The Casablanca-Catania line is part of a series of new routes to be launched shortly to facilitate travel for Moroccans living abroad, particularly to Casablanca and several airports in northern Morocco», said Hamid Addou, Chairman and CEO of Royal Air Maroc. It is worth noting that the new Casablanca–Catania route brings the total number of weekly flights operated by RAM to Italy to 45.
