Morocco has once again asserted its dominance on the African tennis scene. For the seventh consecutive year, the Kingdom was awarded the Trophy for the Best Tennis Nation in Africa on Saturday in Cairo, during the closing ceremony of the African U14 Team Championships. The ceremony took place in the presence of Morocco's ambassador to Egypt, Mohamed Ait Ouali, who praised the outstanding achievements of young Moroccan talents in various categories (U14, U16, and U18) on the continental stage. With a total of 2,100 points, the Moroccan teams were far ahead of their competitors: Tunisia (1,440 points) and Egypt (1,420 points), thus reaffirming their supremacy in African tennis. Zakaria Zemrani, a member of the board of the Royal Moroccan Tennis Federation (FRMT) and head of the delegation present in Cairo, told MAP that this title crowns the ongoing efforts of the Federation. He emphasized the importance of supporting national clubs, training coaches and mentors, and backing athletes on the international stage. For Mr. Zemrani, the emergence of Moroccan champions capable of excelling in the most prestigious international competitions remains one of the FRMT's major goals.
