DR ‹ › AKDITAL Group has announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to acquire a majority stake in Bishri Hospital in Mecca, subject to the completion of the required regulatory and operational procedures in the coming weeks. Located in the heart of the holy city, Bishri Hospital has been serving the local community for two years. It is considered one of Mecca's leading healthcare facilities, with a capacity of 120 beds. The hospital offers a wide range of medical specialties, including cardiology, interventional cardiology, and general surgery, and is equipped with an intensive care unit as well as a state-of-the-art radiology department, according to a statement from the group. The planned acquisition is part of AKDITAL's broader expansion strategy in the Gulf region, with a particular focus on Saudi Arabia. As a leading player in Morocco's private healthcare sector, the group aims to deliver high-quality medical services that are accessible to all. In Morocco, AKDITAL operates 41 healthcare facilities across 24 cities, representing a total capacity of 4,111 beds. These facilities are supported by nearly 10,000 healthcare professionals committed to building patient trust and delivering high-standard care on a daily basis. Internationally, AKDITAL already has a foothold in Saudi Arabia through AKDITAL Riyadh Olaya, formerly known as Al Mishari Hospital. The group has been listed on the Casablanca Stock Exchange since December 2022, trading under the ticker symbol AKT.
