Rabat is hosting the fifth meeting of the Global Alliance for the Implementation of the Two-State Solution on May 20, 2025. Co-hosted by Morocco and the Netherlands, the meeting will focus on «Sustaining Momentum for the Peace Process: Lessons Learned, Success Stories, and Steps Forward». The Alliance, launched in September 2024 at the UN Headquarters by the LAS-OIC Contact Group, the European Union, and Norway, serves as a diplomatic platform for advancing peace in the Middle East. Following previous meetings in Riyadh, Brussels, Oslo, and Cairo, the Rabat gathering aims to assess past peace efforts and develop concrete measures to reinforce progress toward a Two-State Solution, with a particular focus on building the Palestinian economy. The one-day dialogue will feature four thematic discussions: evaluating past peace initiatives, strengthening Palestinian institutions, examining economic foundations for peace, and developing policy recommendations. Around 50 countries and international organizations committed to the Two-State Solution will participate in the meeting, which seeks to take practical steps toward implementing the Two-State Solution and ending the occupation, with the goal of having two states living side-by-side in peace and security.
