The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates swiftly condemned this targeting, characterizing it as a «direct assault» on an accredited diplomatic delegation in the State of Palestine. The delegation's visit aimed to observe humanitarian conditions and the violations unfolding in Jenin amidst ongoing Israeli aggression. The ministry asserted that this «aggressive act» constitutes a flagrant and grave violation of international law and the fundamental tenets of diplomatic relations enshrined in the 1961 Vienna Convention, which guarantees protection and immunity for diplomatic missions. It underscored that the targeting of representatives from member states accredited to Palestine marks a dangerous escalation, indicative of a systematic disregard for international law and a breach of both the State of Palestine's sovereignty and the inviolability of foreign representatives on its territory.
