The Ethics Committee of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation issued, Thursday, severe disciplinary sanctions against Abdellatif Naciri, president of the Youth Sports Association of Casablanca. He was suspended from all sports activities for three years and fined 30,000 dirhams. Additionally, the committee suspended the team's player, Mohamed Al-Aqal, for two years and fined him 20,000 dirhams. The club itself was also fined 50,000 dirhams. These decisions followed evidence of an attempted manipulation of the match outcome between the Youth Sports Association of Casablanca and the Union of Casablanca during the 27th round of the National Amateur First Division Championship. The investigation was initiated after an official complaint from the Union of Casablanca's officials. They accused the club president—who is also Casablanca's Deputy Mayor—of attempting to influence the match result by offering 50,000 dirhams through player Mohamed Al-Aqal, who acted as an intermediary. After reviewing the evidence, including audio recordings and correspondence, the committee confirmed a clear attempt to manipulate the match. It ruled this conduct a serious breach of sports ethics and a direct threat to the integrity and fairness of the competition.
