Seven people were killed on Sunday in an accident on the N23 national road in the commune of Sour El Aaz (Caïdat Sahrij), after a tricycle carrying 14 individuals overturned on its way to a vacation site, local authorities reported. Upon being alerted, local authorities, along with the Royal Gendarmerie and Civil Protection services, quickly arrived at the scene to take the necessary measures, the same source added. The seven other passengers, who sustained varying degrees of injuries, were taken to the emergency department of a provincial hospital. An investigation has been launched by the Royal Gendarmerie to determine the circumstances of the accident and establish any potential liability.
