A severe heatwave is expected to sweep across several provinces of the Kingdom from Monday to Wednesday, with temperatures forecast to range between 38°C and 45°C, according to an «orange» alert bulletin issued by the General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM). Temperatures between 42°C and 45°C are expected in the provinces of Taounate, Aousserd, Ouezzane, Larache, Oued Ed-Dahab, Boujdour, Assa-Zag, Es-Semara, Tata, Zagora, Kenitra, Sidi Kacem, Sidi Slimane, Kalaat Sraghna, Marrakech, Rehamna, Khemisset, Beni Mellal, Fquih Ben Salah, and Moulay Yacoub, the DGM stated. Meanwhile, temperatures ranging from 38°C to 42°C are forecast in the provinces of Guelmim, Taroudant, Benslimane, Berrechid, Khouribga, Settat, Chichaoua, Salé, Skhirate-Temara, Sidi Bennour, Youssoufia, Meknès, Errachidia, Khénifra, Fès, Guercif, and Taza.
