Tourist arrivals in Morocco reached a new record of 7.2 million in the first five months of 2025, marking a 22% increase compared to the same period last year, according to the Ministry of Tourism, Handicrafts, and Social and Solidarity Economy. This growth represents an additional 1.3 million visitors and a 68% increase compared to 2019, the ministry said in a press release. These figures confirm the upward trend that began in 2024 and firmly position Morocco on the global tourism map. The ministry added that this momentum reflects the effectiveness of the sector's strategic direction. The growth also reinforces Morocco's status as a leading international destination. It highlights the country's growing appeal, driven by the 2023–2026 tourism roadmap, which focuses on strengthening air connectivity, enhancing promotion, and encouraging investment to diversify the tourism offering. These promising results confirm Morocco's trajectory toward its goal of attracting 26 million tourists by 2030.
