The airline Vueling has announced the launch of a new direct route between Barcelona and the city of Essaouira, with two weekly flights scheduled every Thursday and Sunday. According to a statement released by the company on Monday, this is currently the only air connection between the two cities. Vueling's Public Affairs Manager noted that the new route supports the airline's strategy for sustainable growth and reinforces its commitment to building a diverse and better-connected international network from its main hub in Barcelona. With the addition of Essaouira, Vueling has completed its summer schedule of five new international destinations launched from Barcelona, all of which became operational last week. These include Tivat (Montenegro), Tirana (Albania), as well as Rimini and Salerno (Italy).
