The Confederation of African Football (CAF) and the Danone Group signed a strategic partnership on Tuesday in Casablanca, coinciding with two major continental tournaments hosted by Morocco: the TotalEnergies 2024 Women's Africa Cup of Nations and the TotalEnergies 2025 Africa Cup of Nations. The agreement, signed by CAF Secretary General Veron Mosengo-Omba and Danone CEO Antoine de Saint-Affrique, aims to promote healthy eating habits through sport, with a particular focus on African children and youth. As part of the partnership, nutritious dairy products will be distributed to over 10,000 volunteers, 5,000 journalists, and numerous officials involved in both competitions. These products will also be available in stadiums and fan zones, enhancing Danone's visibility and reinforcing its message of balanced nutrition. For Danone, this initiative reflects its longstanding commitment to youth across the continent. The company emphasized that this collaboration aligns with its «Renew» strategy, which seeks to combine economic performance with social impact by supporting sustainable growth and access to quality nutrition. The partnership also builds on the legacy of the Danone Nations Cup and supports the educational and sporting ambitions of CAF's Pan-African School Program. Currently reaching 1.9 million children across 48 countries, the program will expand its educational component, particularly by integrating nutrition-focused content alongside sports training. The partners aim to place this nutrition–sport–education triad at the heart of their cooperation to foster sustainable development for the continent's younger generations. In Morocco, Centrale Danone operates through a network of 60,000 partner farmers, four factories, and more than 75,000 points of sale, working to deliver on its mission of «bringing health through food to as many people as possible».
