Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P), supported by Morocco's Embassy in Norway, organized a meeting with Moroccan professionals in Oslo on July 14. The event explored collaboration opportunities between the university and the diaspora community. Ambassador Nabila Freidji introduced «Mor•way», the first digital platform dedicated to Moroccan talents residing in Norway. The platform structures professional networks according to sectoral affinities and innovation fields, moving beyond informal networking to support concrete projects in scientific research, engineering, entrepreneurship, and new technologies. UM6P will provide expertise in structuring innovation communities while acting as an institutional bridge to integrate diaspora skills into national development dynamics. The university aims to move beyond traditional approaches that view the diaspora as occasional sources of expertise. Discussions with Norwegian-based Moroccan professionals identified sectoral opportunities in Morocco in energy transition, information technology, health, and industry. The meeting included high-ranking Norwegian officials and focused on operational mechanisms for professional integration, skills transfer, and innovation project development. The initiative aims to establish enhanced scientific and economic dialogue between Morocco and Norway, particularly in applied sciences and innovative technologies.
