The 2025 Henley & Partners Passport Index has ranked Morocco 67th globally, its highest position since 2006. The ranking is based on data from the International Air Transport Association (IATA), supplemented by in-depth internal research and publicly available sources. The index evaluates 199 passports and 227 destinations worldwide. The Moroccan passport allows visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to 73 destinations, securing its 67th-place ranking, just one spot below its best performance in 2006 (66th). In contrast, its lowest ranking was in 2021, when it fell to 85th place. Regionally, Morocco leads North Africa, ranking ahead of Tunisia (71st), Mauritania (79th), Algeria (81st), Egypt (85th), and Libya (95th). Within the Arab world, Morocco ranks seventh, following the United Arab Emirates (1st among Arab nations and 8th globally), Qatar (47th), Kuwait (50th), Saudi Arabia (54th), Bahrain (55th), and Oman (56th). On the African continent, Morocco holds the eighth spot, behind Seychelles (24th globally), Mauritius (27th), South Africa (48th), Botswana (59th), Namibia (63rd), Lesotho (65th), and Malawi (67th). Globally, Singapore topped the index, followed by Japan and South Korea in second place. Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, and Spain tied for third. At the bottom of the list were Pakistan, Somalia, Yemen, Iraq, Syria, and Afghanistan, which ranked last.
