A 54-year-old Polish national residing in Edinburgh, Scotland, has been missing since July 30 while hiking near Chefchaouen, in northern Morocco, his family said. Adam Jordanowski had traveled from Edinburgh to Malaga, Spain, on July 25, then crossed into Morocco via Tangier Med before heading to the mountainous city, a popular hiking destination, Scottish national tabloid newspaper Daily Record reported on Friday. Jordanowski was expected to return to Scotland on July 31, with a scheduled stopover in Barcelona. Although UK Border authorities confirmed he checked in for his flight to Edinburgh, his family fears he never left Morocco. His family has launched an appeal on social media for his whereabouts, urging people to contact Police Scotland (101, incident 2663 of 03/08/2025) or the Polish Embassy in Rabat (+212 661 414 119).
