The public prosecutor at the Court of First Instance in Fez has decided to prosecute a repeat offender after he was caught preparing a venue for prostitution and organizing gatherings for debauchery. He also faces charges of facilitating drug use and insulting public officials while they were carrying out their duties. The prosecutor ordered that he be held in prison pending his appearance before the misdemeanors chamber, according to Assabah newspaper. The court granted the defendant one week to appoint legal counsel and scheduled the hearing for August 29, when witness testimonies previously collected by the judicial police at the Fez Security Directorate will be presented. Investigations revealed that the man had been using his apartment to host loud parties at night. His arrest came after multiple complaints from neighbors, leading to his detention early last week and subsequent referral to the prosecutor's office.
