The DGSN-DGST announced on Thursday that police officer Azzeddine Nassih has filed a complaint with the King's Prosecutor at the Casablanca Court of Appeal, after a social media account named Jabaroot falsely accused him of crimes he did not commit. The DGSN-DGST confirmed it would provide the officer with legal support and guarantee all rights granted under the principle of State protection, as stipulated in the statute governing National Security officers. This decision was taken in response to criminal acts targeting security personnel in the performance of their duties. According to the complaint, the officer has been subjected to acts constituting both material and moral offenses punishable by law, including the reporting of fictitious crimes, defamation, insult, and the dissemination of false and misleading information with the intent to damage his reputation. Nassih, who has long served in administrative duties without performing operational or field missions, was recently alarmed to see the Jabaroot account associating him with fabricated crimes and incidents based on a forged document. The account also fraudulently used his personal data, including his private phone number. The officer has asked the King's Prosecutor to instruct the competent authorities to open a judicial investigation to identify those responsible for impersonating him and attributing to him fabricated crimes, as well as any accomplices who knowingly sought to harm him, his family, and his reputation.
