Bulgarian diplomat Dimiter Tzantchev has been appointed Head of the European Union Delegation to Morocco. He officially assumed his post on September 1, the Delegation announced in a press release on Tuesday. Tzantchev previously served as the EU's ambassador to Israel and, earlier, as Bulgaria's Permanent Representative to the EU in Brussels, where he chaired COREPER II during Bulgaria's presidency of the EU Council in 2018. Fluent in French, English, Arabic, Hebrew, and Russian, he brings decades of diplomatic experience, including senior roles at Bulgaria's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and at the United Nations in Geneva.
