Chafik El Kettani has been unanimously re-elected president of the Royal Moroccan Federation of Judo and Associated Martial Arts (FRMJAMA) for a fourth term during the ordinary elective general assembly for the 2024-2025 sports season, held on Sunday in Casablanca. The assembly took place in the presence of representatives from the Ministry of National Education, Preschool, and Sports, the Moroccan National Olympic Committee, local authorities, and representatives of leagues and associations affiliated with the Federation. Participants also unanimously approved the moral and financial reports. The moral report reviewed the activities of the past season, which included referee and kata training sessions, grade examinations, and the organization of national championships across all categories, the Throne Cup, and various national and international leagues. A highlight was the African International Championship, which brought together 288 athletes from 30 countries and earned high praise from both the African and International Judo Federations. The financial report detailed revenues and expenses for the 2024-2025 season, finalized on August 31. In a statement to MAP, El Kettani said one of the Federation's priorities for the coming term is to build on the achievements of Moroccan judo at both the national and continental levels, with a focus on developing skills and identifying young talents to become the champions of tomorrow. At the close of the assembly, participants reaffirmed their commitment to advancing judo in Morocco and strengthening its standing on the continental and international stages, in line with a strategy centered on staff training and nurturing young talent to achieve greater success.
