Morocco emerged as a key market for GNV during the 2025 summer season, recording a 6% passenger growth, the ferry company announced at its sixth annual awards ceremony in Valencia on September 28, 2025. The MSC Group subsidiary attributed the Moroccan route's performance to five dedicated vessels and a substantial increase in local crew members. The company added 100 Moroccan staff to its ships over the past year, enhancing the passenger experience. Two Moroccan travel agencies received recognition during the ceremony. Fes Ferry Tour won the Best Travel Agency Destination Morocco and Top of the Tops Offline Travel Agency awards. Morchid Travel earned the Best Up and Coming Moroccan Travel Agency distinction. The event, held aboard the Excelsior in Valencia, brought together approximately 150 representatives from Italian and international travel agencies. Eighteen partner agencies received awards, and new Elite Partner and Premium agencies were designated. Overall, GNV transported 1.7 million passengers between June and September 2025, representing a 9% increase compared to the same period in 2024. Tunisia recorded 8% growth with new direct routes, while the launch of Algeria services showed promising results. Sardinia grew 6%, and Sicily registered 10% growth. GNV announced that sales for summer 2026 will open on October 13, 2025. The company's first LNG-powered vessel, GNV Virgo, will be christened on December 11 in Palermo before entering service on the Genoa-Palermo route.
