U.S. carrier United Airlines has announced the expansion of its nonstop Marrakech–New York/Newark service this winter, increasing seat capacity by more than 43% for the 2025-2026 season. The airline will increase frequencies from three to four weekly flights, with daily service between December 19, 2025, and January 6, 2026, the largest capacity ever offered by United from Marrakech, reads a press release by the company on Thursday. «With this substantial expansion of our Marrakesh schedule just a year after the route was first launched, we are delighted to offer our customers in Morocco even greater travel choice when booking their next U.S. getaway for the upcoming winter season», said Amit Badiani, United's Sales Director for Africa and Offline Europe. He noted that Moroccan passengers will benefit from seamless connections via United's Newark hub to nearly 80 destinations across the Americas. United, the first and only carrier to operate nonstop flights between Marrakech and the United States, has already carried over 16,000 passengers and nearly 100 tons of cargo on more than 130 flights since the route launched. The service, operated with Boeing 767-300 aircraft, will feature United PolarisSM Business with 46 suites, United Premium PlusSM with 22 seats, and 142 Economy seats including 43 in Economy PlusSM. The expansion comes as part of United's largest-ever international growth, which includes new routes from Newark to Nuuk, Bilbao, Palermo, Madeira, and Faro, as well as expanded services from Washington D.C.
