Locally heavy thunderstorms accompanied by strong wind gusts are expected from Wednesday to Thursday in several provinces of Morocco, the General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM) has announced. Rainfall between 60 and 100 mm is forecast from Wednesday at 11 a.m. until Thursday at noon in the provinces of Aousserd, Oued Ed-Dahab, and Boujdour, according to an orange-level weather alert issued by the DGM. Precipitation ranging from 35 to 45 mm is also expected in Laâyoune and Tarfaya during the same period, the statement added.
